Your own personal wine buyer. I buy wine — it’s what I do and what I do best!
My passion for wine started in college when I worked at a vineyard and continues to present day with more than 18 years of experience. I stay on top of all of the industry press, have my pulse on the best wines, sources and prices.
I am currently providing the weekly wine pairing for the recipes edited by Kristina on Design*Sponge. The In-the-Kitchen-With column appears every Friday at noon, and features the recipes of design*sponge readers’ favorite designers. My wine pairings also appear on Three Layer Cake in the recipes section.
I can work with almost any budget whether you are looking to spend $100, $1,000 or $10,000…whether you want to start or grow your collection, put together a case (of the best of the Bordeaux, the last vintage from Spain, a collection of Cabernets, etc), or need help with a special event. I can work with you in any of the following ways:
- Wine Collection Consultation
- Develop Wine Lists
- Wedding Wine Consultation
- Wine Dinners
- Wine Tastings (private or corporate)
To hire me as a wine collection consultant, the best arrangement is to designate a quarterly budget and allow me to buy as wines as they are released, become available or when I am able to secure special offers. There are many different ways that I can work with you to make your wine life easier and a lot more rewarding.
Even if you just have a question, want a recommendation for a wine/food pairing, a wine for a special occasion — send me an email. My advice is free.

I’m having a terrible time finding a reliable source for good Cote de Provence roses, specifically: Chateau d’Esclans, Domaine des Grands Esclans and Chateau Pas du Cerf, all of which we found while living in St Raphael…the Chateau d’Esclans has a US distributor but I cannot find any of the actual wine available (I had bought some from Morrell in N.Y. but now they are out of stock).
Any helpful suggestions (please)?
Thanks,
Richard Schluessel
